Connecting & Celebrating our Local Community

Connecting community to local and seasonal produce, local programs, and projects.

Growing,  sharing,  learning and creating a more resilient local food system.

There are lots of wonderful locally based community programs and projects happening that are worth celebrating.  Hearing about them means we can learn from them, celebrate them, understand how it could work in our own patch and connect community members that have similar interests.

I am Local

If you have a story or program you would like to celebrate, please use the form below, to send a link or short video, or supply a photo with under 300 words, so we can share with the Yarra Ranges Food Connections community.

Crops for Community” will build upon our existing volunteer program, by implementing a sustainable social enterprise scheme. The project will align with our site-specific seasonal calendar to grow, harvest, process, sell and donate produce to local community groups to reduce food waste, and make the best use of our growing gardens and orchards. Volunteers will have the opportunity to build skills in food production, preparation, and social enterprises and be part of the farm to fork cycle which gives back to the community.
